Do your kids seem a little out-of-shape? Have you noticed heavy breathing when they exert any energy at all? It may be time for the ABC's of children's exercise. The kids may protest at first but the ABC's of children's fitness will help you get over that hurdle.
A= Assess: Begin by assessing your children's exercise needs. You may be surprised to find your kids are in better shape than you thought. You may also find that the opposite is true. If you kids spend most of their idle time watching television and seldom help around the house or play outside, their exercise needs may be greater.
B= Build: You can help make a children's exercise program much more welcome if you build on the strengths your children already have. If you know they enjoy soccer or used to spend time riding a bike or swimming you will have a place to start.
C= Compile: Once you have assessed the children's exercise needs and considered their strengths you will be ready to compile a list of possibilities for an exercise program. You can then have the children choose a few components that appeal to them and get the plan rolling. Your children may have indicated that they would like to join a sport's team or have friends over for bike riding or roller-skating. A kid's gym is another idea. A kid's gym is a great place to go to begin a children's exercise program. The staff knows how to work with kids and is trained to help them in all kinds of areas of exercise.
Put the ABC's of children's exercise to work for you and your kids will be in shape in no time!

There are many lessons to be learned at the children's gym. If you are looking for a place where your children will have a good time, get a little exercise and learn some valuable lessons consider a membership at a children's gym.
A children's gym is a wonderful place to learn how to be patient. It takes time to learn how to exercise properly. It also takes awhile before the child will see the results of an exercise program.
Another valuable lesson that can be learned at a children's gym is how to get along with others. Many of the activities at a children's gym involve working with others and being part of a team.
Kids will learn how to listen and follow directions at a children's gym. The instructors are trained to work with children and their instructions will help children learn new skills and show them how to be more physically fit.
Tolerance is another lesson that will be learned when your child is a member at a children's gym. Kids will learn how to tolerant of themselves and also of others. They will see that everyone may not be good at every activity and that some children pick up a skill more slowly than others.
Confidence is something that is acquired at a children's gym. You will be surprised at the confidence boost gained by your child after he or she has joined a children's gym. Your child may be part of different teams and also work on individual skills. All of these things will lead to higher confidence.

Children are not getting the exercise they need, in school or at home. Many children face serious health issues because of a lack of exercise and poor eating habits. You can change this situation for your children by forming a children's exercise group.
Begin by talking to your children. Get their ideas and let them invite a few friends to be part of the children's exercise group. The next thing you will want to do is contact parents and plan a meeting time.
While the parents are meeting, the children can be included in the meeting or they can be participating in some physical activities like basketball, hopscotch or a mini-Olympics. You can hire a couple of high school students for a few hours to watch over these activities.
Talk to the parents and brainstorm activities for the kids. A children's exercise group will function really well with input and suggestions from others. Parents need to share the responsibilities and planning for the children's exercise group and also take turns hosting or driving. Snacks can be part of the plan although in keeping with the health goals, the snacks should be healthy as well.
Plan ahead and have some ideas ready to discuss during the meeting. You may want to suggest hiking, swimming and family exercise events. Another suggestion would be to have the kids participate in a kids gym. This is one of the best ways for children to learn how to exercise properly and have fun while doing it.
While it's true that people are busy and have schedules crammed full of activities, a children's exercise group is certainly one of the best ways kids can spend their time and become physically fit while doing it.

It's not easy to motivate anyone to exercise or get into shape. When you realize that the time has come to get your kids into an exercise program, what choices do you have?
One of the best choices is to join a kids gym. Why is a kids gym a good choice? Read on for a list of reasons:
Kids are becoming less and less active. This means a greater chance of serious illness and lifestyles that are not going to improve as children grow up. Establishing a good exercise program when children are young can lead to adults who continue to exercise and lead healthier lives. A kids gym can help your children get into the habit of exercising.
Kids gyms are great places to get to know other kids. Children can not only meet new friends but they can get together with fellow students and friends at the gym for all kinds of activities. Kids learn about fairness and healthy competition. They also will be able to experience winning and losing in an environment where they will be supported and encouraged.
Children will have a chance to try new things at a kids gym. There are many options and the kids can choose activities they enjoy as well as become knowledgeable in other areas of physical fitness.
Self-esteem and confidence are factors in every activity at a kids gym. The staff is trained to help children learn how to exercise properly and how to stay with an activity until they are proficient. Children become stronger and adept at all kinds of things when they are part of the activities at a kids gym.
You won't have any trouble getting the children to exercise when you join a kids gym.

Planning a kid's birthday party? Kid's birthday parties can be a blessing or a curse. The success of kid's birthday parties depends on the planning.
If you wait until a week or two before a kid's birthday party to begin the planning you will likely fall into the "curse" area of birthday party planning. You simply can not wait that long if you want to have a party that is well-planned and enjoyable.
Begin planning kid's birthday parties at least 6 weeks before the event. Figure out who your child wants to invite to the party and pare the list down if it seems out of control. The rule of thumb is the child should invite the same number of children to the party as he is old. So, if your child is going to be 6 years old, the perfect number of party guests would be six. The only thing I would suggest is if you plan to play games and will need teams that you plan for an even number of children.
The next step is to make or buy the kid's birthday party invitations. You will want the invitations to list the date, time and place of the party. If you have any other pertinent information, you can add that as well. An RSVP is good if you want to know how many guests to plan for.
Shop for party favors and decorations and plan games. You will also need to decide on the food you will serve.
Short on time? Plan your kids birthday party at a children's gym. Children love kid's birthday parties at the gym and they are easy to plan. This is also a great alternative if you have waited a little too long to plan the party!

Have you looked around your neighborhood lately and noticed that there are very few children outside playing, including your own? At the same time have you become more aware of children who seem to be overweight and lacking in energy, once again, including your own? It may be time to start a children's fitness group in your neighborhood.
A children's neighborhood fitness group will be an excellent way to get your children motivated to exercise. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
You will want to make it fun. There are all kinds of activities you can plan that involve kids, fun and physical activity. Gather jump ropes, balls and water balloons for an afternoon filled with games. Host a bike rodeo or load up all the kids for a morning at the park.
Get other parents involved in the children's fitness group. You do not need to take on all the responsibility yourself and there are several reasons that it will be good to call on other parents. Shared responsibility, new ideas and time constraints are just a few.
Check out the possibility of having the children's fitness group take place at a kids gym. This is one of the easiest ways to get your kids involved in exercise and also one of the most enjoyable. Kids have a wonderful time at the gym and all the activities are planned, taught and monitored by professional staff members. If you go this route, parents only need to take turns driving.
Make a plan for a neighborhood children's fitness group in your area and watch for all the benefits.

Children's fitness does not have to be a tiring and boring activity. It does not have to be the time when groans and complaints are heard three blocks away. Combine children's fitness and parent's involvement and you have the recipe for family fun.
There are all kinds of physical activities the entire family can enjoy together. Not only will everyone garner the positive aspects of exercise but the whole family will grow closer together.
Not sure where to start? How about a walk or hike in a neighborhood park after dinner once a week? Dust off the bikes and ride on a bike path or throughout your neighborhood. Invite friends to join you.
Once or twice a month use a Saturday morning to take care of the chores that need to be done, both inside and outside the house. After the jobs are done you can head to the swimming pool or park for a game of basketball or softball.
When winter sets in and it's colder there are still things you can do that will combine children's fitness and family fun. Get out the ice skates or rent them at a skating rink. Round up the sleds and head for the hills. After a snowfall gather the family to build a snowman or snow fort.
Once the kids get used to more physical activity they will begin looking forward to these times. Everyone will be in better shape physically and your family will have great times together.
Keep this recipe and file it under Children's fitness.
Take one part children's fitness and combine it with one or two parts of parental involvement. Mix well and the result will be a huge serving of family fun.
