With the rise in child hood obesity there has been a rise in helpful kid's fitness and nutrition resources online. These sites offer tips in nutrition guidelines and kid friendly recipes. There are also fitness resources such as exercises, fitness games and exercise safety available at your fingertips.

As we grow in understanding of what we should eat and how much the food guide pyramid can help us to eat better as well as guide our children towards better and healthier food choices. These resources can be put to good use when we incorporate these tips into our children's daily lives. We can assist them in choosing healthier foods and activities that will build a path to healthier adulthood.

We see children who are obese and riddled with adult disease such as heart disease, arthritis and diabetes due to poor nutrition and sedentary activities. We can change this simply by reading over these resources such as www.kidshealth.org or www.healthiergeneration.org. You can find other sites by searching "kids fitness resources".

The American Health Association supports many of these sites. So review these resources and help yourself to pack a better lunch box menu. Low fat dairy items such as yogurt and whole wheat breads can boost the nutrition value.

These online resources can help you to reach your kids to get them up and moving and eating for their health. There are numerous resources online and all it takes is some searching and a small amount of time and you can begin to improve the life of your children and perhaps your own eating habits.
