Are you worried about your children's health? Do they spend too long sitting in front of the television and computer games when you think they ought to be outside playing? Sometimes simply throwing them out of the house is all that's necessary, but if you children are seriously overweight or have other health problems, structured kids' exercise programs may be the best solution.
Kid's exercise programs don't have to be boring. It's generally a mistake to try and enforce the kind of discipline you might with adults, as this will only lead to your children resenting them and being more resistant to getting physical exercise at other times.
It's important to make kid's exercise programs as much fun as possible for all concerned. However, kid's exercise programs do need to be undertaken regularly if they're going to have an effect.
Doing forty star jumps once a day isn't as effective as doing ten star jumps four times a day, at intervals. Kids' exercise programs need to be undertaken daily to teach kid's growing bodies to prioritize muscle growth and strong hearts and lungs.
Kid's exercise programs shouldn't be copied from adult exercise programs, as kid's needs are different. Children generally have faster metabolisms, so they should get more energetic exercise than adults do. Try to make sure that your kid's exercise programs speed up their breathing and work their muscles hard for at least half an hour a day.
Kid's exercise programs should not include lifting weights, which can put too much strain on growing limbs. It's generally inappropriate for children to be using exercise machines, but you can make children's exercise programs fun by including activities like jumping and chasing.
If possible, join in with these activities to set and example. That way, your kids will know that you're serious about the benefits of exercise, and your kid's exercise programs will become a fun activity fr everyone involved.
