* Find a My Gym for kids near your home now!
Wednesday, April 25, 2007
Tired of coming home and finding the kids playing video games or surfing the Net? Tired of buying new clothing constantly because of lack of exercise and too many fast food meals? It may be time to take the children's fitness bull by the horns and make some changes.
When it's time for your child’s birthday, wrap up a gift of children's fitness. You will have all kinds of choices and you will be doing your child a favor. You will also be giving your child the chance to become healthy and strong.
Birthday shopping time will come along sooner than you may think and you will need some ideas for children's fitness gifts. There may be sports that your child likes or has shown an interest in. Make a list of gifts that would encourage your child to pursue anything physical.
Is it time for a new bike or skateboard? Maybe your child already has these items but could use a new helmet or pads. Roller skates or ice skates may give a child the opportunity to try something new. You could include a few skating sessions as well.
Some children would really like to take dancing lessons or be part of a swimming team. Other kids may want to try skiing or clogging. Be open to new ideas.
Your child may not be very physical because he or she has never taken lessons or been part of a team. You can wrap up a certificate for lessons or pay the enrollment fee for a team sport. Other gifts could include the clothing and shoes needed plus other equipment.
Give your child a membership to a kid's gym. Children's fitness is a great gift and something your child can enjoy for a lifetime. A children’s gym provides training, support and encouragement. The people on staff are skilled at helping children learn how to exercise properly. Children have fun at the gym and many do not even realize they are getting into shape.
Talk to your child before his or her birthday and find out what type of physical activity sounds like fun. You will probably end up with all kinds of ideas.
Instead of buying the latest video game or DVD, wrap up a gift of children's fitness as a wonderful birthday gift alternative.
