Make it a habit and make it stick. What a great motto for parents who are interested in kids fitness.
You know all the reasons that kids need to be fit and all the reasons that a startling large number of them are not. Kids fitness is important because it is a big determining factor in the health of children. Many children in the United States are overweight and this unfortunate problem is getting worse.
There is less exercise and physical activity in public schools and many children spend hours each day watching television or on the computer. Everyone is busy and yet kids fitness needs to be a priority for all ages.
Parents of very young children can start a kids fitness program from the very beginning. Babies can be taken with parents as they walk or ride bikes. They can watch mom or dad exercise at home. It won’t be long and even a small child will want to get in on the fun. kids gyms have exercise classes for very young children and their parents. This is an excellent way to spend time together and when begun early it will become a healthy habit.
If your children are older it is not too late. A kids gym is still a great place to begin a kids fitness program. There are many exercise choices and people who are trained to show kids how to use the equipment and exercise properly.
It's never too early or too late to do something about your kid's fitness. When you stop and think about all the ways you spend your time and money you may decide that a kids fitness program is worth it's weight in gold!
