Thinking about getting the kids away from the sedentary life? Ready to make the move to a children's gym?
A children's gym can offer all kinds of activities and exercise opportunities for the kids. Here are a few tips for choosing a children's gym:
Tip #1: Ask your friends for suggestions. Find out if they have kids who are involved in a children's gym. Ask them to recommend a gym and classes.
Tip #2: Call the gym you are interested in and ask questions. Find out what classes are available and what times the classes are offered. Ask about the cost of the classes and the length of each class.
Tip #3: Inquire about visiting the children's gym and a few of the classes. Most gyms will be happy to have you visit and this will give you and your kids a better idea of what to expect.
Tip #4: Question the people at the gym about the instructors. Find out how many are involved in each class and if they have any training. Also ask about CPR training and other safety measures. You might want to know if all employees of the children's gym are screened before hiring.
Tip #5: Find out if there are other activities offered at the gym. Some children's gyms have birthday parties and may offer other activities as well.
Tip #6: It would be good to know what classes are offered for each age group. Many children's gyms have classes for very young children and a parent can participate, also.
When you are ready to implement a fitness plan with your kids check out a children's gym in your area.
