Start this new year with some children's fitness resolutions.
Children's fitness resolution #1: Our family will make time to exercise together at least twice a week. Plan time to bike, walk or run together.
Children's fitness resolution #2: We will be more careful about our meals. We will be conscious of our children's health and plan nutritious meals including breakfast.
Children's fitness resolution #3: Our family will we more careful about eating fat-filled fast food meals.
Children's fitness resolution #4: We will watch the amount of time we watch television or play video games.
Children's fitness resolution #5: The entire family will be involved in at least one fitness activity each week. This can include Mommy and Me classes, sports, dance, gymnastics or workouts.
Children's fitness resolution #6: The family will monitor the pop, candy and fatty snacks that are eaten. We will choose more healthy snacks and be careful about eating between meals.
Children's fitness resolution #7: We will try to choose activities that encourage us to be active rather than sedentary.
Children's fitness resolution #8: The family will consider gifts that promote children's fitness. Instead of video games and a television or VCR we will get a gym membership, new bikes or a summer pass to the swimming pool.
If you are really interested in making a positive difference in your children's health, begin the new year with some of these resolutions. You can improve your children's health and the health of everyone in the family.
