There are many things you can do to help keep your child fit. Here are some tips for children's fitness that will keep your child fit and healthy.
Tips for children's fitness #1: Keep your baby out of strollers and infant seats as much as possible.
Tips for children's fitness #2: Join a Mommy and Me class with your infant or toddler.
Tips for children's fitness #3: Limit television viewing right from the start. Many parents allow even very young children to watch hours of T.V. every day. When this routine gets established it is harder to get kids interested in a children's fitness program.
Tips for children's fitness #4: Also limit the time a child spends playing video or computer games.
Tips for children's fitness #5: Find a kid's gym in your neighborhood and get your child involved. Look at the sports and activities listed and let your child choose one to participate in.
Tips for children's fitness #6: Walk or bike with your child instead of driving whenever possible.
Tips for children's fitness #7: Take vacations that involve physical activity. Swimming, hiking or skiing are activities that many families enjoy.
Tips for children's fitness #8: Let kids play or exercise after school and before dinner. After being in school all day it's time for some physical activity.
Tips for children's fitness #9: Choose gifts that encourage children's fitness. Consider a bike, roller skates, roller blades or swimming lessons.
Tips for children's fitness #10: Involve the kids in household chores that require physical exertion.
Your children's fitness is important because it can lead to a lifetime of healthy living.
