Are you concerned about your kid's health? Does your child spend way too much time inert in front of the television or playing video games? Have you noticed that your son or daughter has very little energy and has been gaining weight? It may be time for a children's fitness plan.

There are many ways to initiate a children's fitness program.

Here are some ideas for children's fitness and several include the whole family:

Idea for children's fitness #1: Start as soon as your child is born. Within weeks a child can begin a children's fitness program. There are mommy and me exercise classes and videos for exercising with very young children.

Idea for children's fitness #2: Subscribe to a fitness or exercise magazine that has ideas for every age.

Idea for children's fitness #3: Start taking family walks as soon as the baby is old enough for the stroller. The fresh air is good for everyone and the exercise is good for mom and dad too!

Idea for children's fitness #4: As the child gets older take bike rides. When the child is old enough there are carriers that are safe for the children. As the child gets older he can join the family for bike rides on his own bike. Children's fitness at its best!

Idea for children's fitness #5: Join a gym and sign the kids up for classes in the kid's gym area. These classes promote children's fitness and the kids have a good time also.

Idea for children's fitness #6: Get roller skates or roller blades for the whole family. It will be money well spent and you’ll have lots of fun.

Idea for children's fitness #7: Take up a sport as a family. Play tennis, golf, softball or volleyball together.

The family that plays together stays together. It’s easy and fun to find ways to work children's fitness into your family's life.
