Little Bundles
Little Bundles
Our youngest My Gym students begin their first visual, audial and spatial exploration as our precious Little Bundles, while their parents are guided through a program designed to carefully introduce music and movement in a variety of fun ways. Baby exercises, songs, dances, infant-safe rides, unique swings and many other parent & me adventures await the infant-parent team. …And this My Gym fun and movement class also includes a brief parent discussion element. Each week, our Little Bundles’ parents participate in a dialogue concerning their children’s development and leave with informative handouts. br br Extreme emphasis has been placed on safety in the creation of this program, and we spare no effort in providing a clean environment for this tender age group. Members are amazed at the boundless number of safe, enjoyable activities offered in this program, as our My Gym infants get off to a great start on the path to an active, healthy life!

Tiny Tykes
Tiny Tykes
As the babies gain hand, arm and trunk control and are becoming mobile, we introduce new and stimulating activities into our programming. Our experienced My Gym teachers are sensitive to the strong emotional attachment these little ones are developing with their mothers, and each parent/child unit is nurtured according to their specific needs. Our Tiny Tykes and their parents are led through a variety of beginning stretches, exercises, infant songs and dances, baby-safe rides and adventures, balance and agility skills and introductory tumbling. Each class is constructed so that our members go from one exciting event to another. br br While our Tykes program is very structured, there are specific segments during which our little members are encouraged to explore our age-appropriate equipment and facility. A relationship to movement and physical activity really begins to develop, as our Tiny Tykes discover their natural abilities and enhance their physical and cognitive development.

Waddlers
Waddlers
At this age, a child is developing a wide range of skills at an astonishing rate. During this period of growth, our Waddlers’ levels of independent mobility will typically progress from aggressive crawling to running. Additional fine and gross motor skills developed during this stage include balancing on one foot, kicking a ball, building a block tower, riding a tricycle and walking up stairs. Our facility, equipment, toys and even the teachers’ language are adjusted to be age-appropriate and challenging but always fun, inspiring and in an atmosphere of constant accomplishment. Our highly trained instructors shower the children with affection, as they guide our Waddlers in early social skills. br br This age group is the youngest to experience the full “My Gym Warm-up.” As this hour of new adventures unfolds, our Waddlers are engaged in interactive songs, choreographed dances, age-specific puppet shows, special rides and a variety of swings and other original activities. This stimulating parent participation program introduces balancing, tumbling, hanging and agility skills in a fun method, helping the children develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in their achievements.

Gymsters
Gymsters
The gross motor abilities of early 2-year-olds are often characterized by more confident running, jumping on two feet, and an overall improved spatial awareness of their bodies. This is the earliest age group with which we work on fine and gross manipulatives in a structured format, as the 2 to 2½-year-old’s attention span grows, allowing the child to focus for longer periods of time. br br Communication between the children and teachers is really adorable, as many of our students begin to talk in simple sentences, exhibit a developing sense of humor, and use facial expression to communicate with our staff and the other children. The youngsters are elated as they sing, dance, swing, play games, watch puppet shows, take turns on special rides and have “Surprise Time!” Our Gymsters feel just great about themselves as they learn beginning gymnastics in a constantly changing program with fresh ingredients and new equipment setups each week.

Terrific Tots
Terrific Tots
This is an amazing age group at My Gym. The hour is jam-packed with pre-gymnastics, structured games and fascinating adventures. The children learn beginning sports skills, gain fine and gross motor proficiency, and strengthen manipulative skills through fun and imaginative methods of teaching. Our Terrific Tots begin to gain independence, as teachers are now interacting more directly with the children. Parental involvement is gradually decreased through inviting activities with love and understanding, and the children exude pride and self-esteem as they are “treated like big kids.” br br Terrific Tots are introduced to our unique “Big Swings,” “Adventures” and special rides that are the signature of My Gym’s younger classes but in this age group, teaching physical skills is becoming more of a priority. The development of social skills is also emphasized, as the youngsters become good listeners, follow directions, cooperate in a group, and learn more about themselves. The accomplishments are incredible, as teachers work with Terrific Tots individually according to their abilities.

Mighty Mites
Mighty Mites
Greater independence, a sense of responsibility, social awareness and a feeling of vulnerability are emotions frequently experienced by youngsters of this age, all of which are addressed in this stimulating program. Our Mighty Mites are now usually talking in full sentences, and a conversation with a three-year-old is a wonderful experience! With greater independence comes the ability to participate without the parent, and our Might Mites are lavished with positive reinforcement for self-reliance and following directions. br br This class is completely structured, with exhilarating activities for the children. Strength, flexibility and agility are increased, as our teachers introduce gymnastics skills using the safest spotting techniques and communicating through language geared to build self-esteem and confidence. Sensitive to peer pressure, these three-year-olds are nurtured so tenderly and always with a success-oriented approach. We mean it when we say there is no failure at My Gym. Relays, more complex games, and beginning sports skills lead to increased strength, enhanced manipulative ability and improved hand-eye coordination. Each week, our Might Mites bound through the door in anticipation of the excitement their new class program will hold.

Whiz Kids
Whiz Kids
These children are now ready to refine and master basic gross motor skills such as running, jumping, hopping, skipping, throwing, kicking and catching. Designed to ready a child for group sports and instill a sense of confidence in connection with physical activity, our Whiz Kids program emphasizes each of these important skills. br br A 4-year-old is extremely aware of his social environment and comprehends the idea of being good at something. My Gym creates the perfect setting to nurture little egos and help children thrive. While building strength, balance, agility, flexibility and coordination, our instructors maintain a positive, supportive and noncompetitive atmosphere. Our Whiz Kids are showered with praise as they develop perseverance and self-control. br br As with each age group at My Gym, this class is packed full of activities to engage and challenge. Constant movement and a healthy balance between building skill and having fun is the key. A child who finds joy in physical activity and sports at this age is much more likely to remain active and benefit from a healthy lifestyle. Our Whiz Kids develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Champions
Champions
This is the first age group at My Gym where perfecting form and mastering sports and gymnastics skills become priorities. The children learn to work hard and to work toward a goal. As with all our older classes, the Champions program is fast-paced and completely structured with organized ingredients throughout the hour. Our program philosophy is that of teaching these children important physical skills in an environment that is emotionally safe, supportive and noncompetitive. br br It is often the case that, concurrent with their enrollment at My Gym, our Champions are involved in organized sports in parks and schools or are studying dance or martial arts. This class introduces a wide range of physical skills and cooperative group activities in preparation for these outside endeavors. To the same end, emphasis is placed on effort, diligence and a spirit of camaraderie, as our Champions are taught the meaning of fair play and teamwork. br br This class program provides the best atmosphere for a child to become confident about his/her physical abilities. It is challenging but never demoralizing. The motivating factor for children’s participation in sports and other physical activities should be their enjoyment succeeding in the skills presented in this program makes those experiences pleasurable. Our exceptionally low student-to-teacher ratio allows our members to reach their full potential, as each child is coached according to his/her own skill level.

Cardio Kids
Cardio Kids
Inactivity and obesity in children between the ages of 6 and 16 is in epidemic proportions, and countless numbers of adolescents have never enjoyed or experienced success in sports or other physical activities. Furthermore, children in this age group are spending 50% of their free time on computers and video games. My Gym Children’s Fitness Center is attacking the situation head on! br br My Gym has created a program that combines a cardio workout with strength and flexibility exercises. Endurance and gross motor skills are increased through a series of exciting and ever-changing activities. As we focus on specific muscle groups, utilize a 4-station circuit-training course and add fun nutritional tips, our goal is to instill health and fitness as a way of life. Our program is demanding but emotionally supportive. We challenge each member to work to his/her full capability, while still maintaining the building of confidence and self-esteem as our highest priority. Both the athletically inclined child and the sedentary child will benefit greatly from My Gym’s Cardio Kids program.

My Gym Art (Learn, Create, Explore)
My Gym Art (Learn, Create, Explore)
My Gym’s Learn, Create and Explore program is the perfect class for children who love art and the world of imagination! Children have tons of fun as they participate in a variety of activities such as hands-on art exploration, story time, interactive circle time and so much more! Each week, children LEARN something new about an artist, an art concept, a foreign country, or another fascinating subject – CREATE individual masterpieces around that lesson – and EXPLORE through additional Free-Art experiences and physical activity.
Brush painting, sponge painting, sculpting, cutting and pasting are just a few of the ways in which our young artists express their creativity and develop fine motor skills. …And what would a trip to My Gym be without some moving and playing to keep those young bodies healthy and strong! This class is all about learning, creating, exploring and, of course, having My Gym Fun – as children begin to look at art in a whole new way!
