Waddlers
Waddlers
This stimulating 1-hour program introduces balancing, tumbling, hanging and agility skills, which helps the children develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in their achievements. At this age, a child’s level of independent mobility will typically progress from aggressive crawling to running. Additional fine and gross motor skills developed during this stage include kicking a ball, building a block tower, riding a tricycle, and walking up stairs. Our highly trained instructors shower the children with affection, as they guide our Waddlers in early social skills through interactive songs, choreographed dances, age-specific puppet shows, special rides, and a variety of swings and other original activities.

Tiny Tykes / Waddlers
Tiny Tykes / Waddlers
As the babies gain hand, arm and trunk control and are becoming mobile, we introduce new and stimulating activities into our programming. Our experienced My Gym teachers are sensitive to the strong emotional attachment these little ones are developing with their mothers, and each parent/child unit is nurtured according to their specific needs. Our Tiny Tykes/Waddlers and their parents are led through a variety of beginning stretches, exercises, infant songs and dances, baby-safe rides and adventures, balance and agility skills and introductory tumbling. Each class is constructed so that our members go from one exciting event to another. While our Tykes/Waddlers program is very structured, there are specific segments during which our little members are encouraged to explore our age-appropriate equipment and facility. A relationship to movement and physical activity really begins to develop, as our Tiny Tykes and Waddlers discover their natural abilities and enhance their physical and cognitive development.

Gymsters
Gymsters
The gross motor abilities of early 2-year-olds are often characterized by more confident running, jumping on two feet, and an overall improved spatial awareness of their bodies. This is the earliest age group with which we work on fine and gross manipulatives in a structured format, as the 2 to 2 1/2-year-olds' attention span grows, allowing the child to focus for longer periods of time. During this 1-hour program, the youngsters are elated as they sing, dance, swing, play games, watch puppet shows, take turns on special rides, and have 'Surprise Time!' Our Gymsters feel great about themselves as they learn gymnastics in a constantly changing program with fresh ingredients and new equipment setups each week.

Terrific Tots
Terrific Tots
In addition to having fun with structured games, fascinating adventures and pre-gymnastics, our Terrific Tots learn beginning sports skills, gain fine and gross motor proficiency, and strengthen manipulative skills. The youngsters become more independent as teachers are now interacting more directly with them. Parental involvement is gradually decreased through inviting activities with love and understanding, and the children exude pride and self-esteem as they are treated like 'big kids.' In this age group, teaching physical skills is a top priority. During this 1-hour program, the development of social skills is also emphasized, as the youngsters become good listeners, follow directions, cooperate in a group, and learn more about themselves.

Mighty Mites
Mighty Mites
With greater independence comes the ability to participate without the parent, and our Mighty Mites are lavished with positive reinforcement for self-reliance and following directions. Strength, flexibility, and agility are increased, as our teachers introduce gymnastic skills with the safest spotting techniques and communication through language geared to build self-esteem and confidence. Sensitive to peer pressure, these 3-year-olds are nurtured so tenderly and always with a success-oriented approach. Relays, more complex games, and beginning sports skills lead to increased strength, enhanced manipulative ability, and improved hand-eye coordination during this 1-hour program.

Champions
Champions
This is the first age group at My Gym where perfecting form and mastering sports and gymnastic skills become priorities. During this 1-hour program, the children learn to work hard and aim toward a goal. As with all our older classes, the Champions program is fast-paced and completely structured with organized ingredients throughout the hour. Many of our Champions are involved in organized sports in parks and schools or study dance or martial arts. This class introduces a wide range of physical skills and cooperative group activities in preparation for these outside activities. We emphasize effort, diligence and a spirit of camaraderie, as our Champions are taught the meaning of fair play and teamwork.

Cardio Kids
Cardio Kids
My Gym has created a program that combines a cardio workout with strength and flexibility exercises for children who are now at the age when they are surrounded by the sedentary distractions of TV, the Internet and video games. Endurance and gross motor skills are increased through a series of exciting and dynamic activities. As we focus on specific muscle groups, utilize a 4-station circuit-training course, and add fun nutritional tips, our goal in this 1-hour program is to instill health and fitness as a way of life. All children, regardless of their athletic abilities, will benefit greatly from My Gym's Cardio Kids program.
